Sartorius Entris8201-1S is Sartorius' replacement model of the Extend ED8201S but a much lower price. The new Sartorius Entris8201-1S digital scale features a large 7.1 inch square weighing platform, 8200 grams weighing capacity with 0.1 grams repeatability. Quick 1.5 second response time and easy to understand controls make this precision balance efficient and user friendly.
Sartorius Entris delivers the reliability and quality of a Sartorius balance, but just pay for the features you really need. The Sartorius Entris has been specially designed to achieve effective and reliable weighing results in your daily work. The easy and clearly structured user interface, with its logical key assignment and last but not least the excellent readability, are ideal conditions for safe operation.
The Sartorius Entris8201-1S is external calibration. When the balance is first installed or when it is moved to another location, it should be calibrated to ensure accurate weighing results. We always recommend you purchase an optional external 5 kilogram calibration weight so you can perform the external calibration. Calibration is simply a press of the "Cal" button and then placing the external 5000g calibration weight on the weighing platform. We also offer the Entris8201i-1S with motorized internal calibration but is it a lot more money so most people buy the Entris8201-1S is external calibration version.
The Sartorius Entris8201-1S has several weighing applications (Weighing, Density, Percentage, Counting, Unstable Conditions, & Conversion). Unstable Conditions also known as dynamic animal weighing application allows this digital scale to weigh small insects that may be moving on the weighing pan accurately. Parts counting is another great application allowing this accurate scale to easily count those extremely small and lightweight parts the typical counting scales can't even sense the weight.
Sartorius Entris precision balances all feature a built-in RS-232 interface enabling you to transfer the weighing results to a computer or connect to the Sartorius YDP20-OCE printer.
The easy to read back-lit display and simple controls which make it easy to use this lab balance. When you need to get a heavy workload of repetitive applications done fast and reliably, day and day out, the last thing you need is a precision weighing balance so complicated that it causes operating errors and wastes your valuable time as a result. Welcome to your new Entris balance comfort zone: a simple, easy-to-understand control panel, key function assignments and the easy-to-read display are ideal for efficient weighing in your lab. User-friendly operation: short, plain-English text prompts and cursor keys for navigation make it simple for you to configure the balance to meet your individual requirements. Outstanding readouts thanks to the backlit and high-contrast display (height of digits: 15 mm). The level indicator is positioned conveniently right next to the display so that checking whether the balance is level becomes "second nature" to the operator.
Sartorius products are manufactured with ISO9001 standards and have the CE mark. Sartorius has been proving their trustworthiness thanks to their top-of-the-line technology that ensures maximum accuracy. Sartorius begin building balances in 1871 and holds the Guinness Book of World Record for the most accurate balance in the world. When you have an excellent reputation and image in the technologically sophisticated field of weighing metrology there is no question Sartorius should be your only choice.
The Sartorius Entris Series consists 3 Analytical models (4 decimal places), 4 Milligram Balances (3 decimal places), 5 Precision Balances (2 decimal places) & 3 Precision Scales (1 decimal place) and you choose with internal calibration or without internal calibration. You can see the Complete Entris Series here.
Looking for a balance that comes standard with a USB interface? Be sure to see the Cubis MSU8201S or Sartorius Cubis MSA8201S. These Sartorius models features a touch screen user interface for easy balance configuration.
We understand purchasing an precision balance is a major capital expense and if you have any questions give us a call and one of our weighing experts can discuss your weighing application and get you the most affordable balance for your weighing needs.
A port for a hanger for weighing below the balance is available (requires purchase of optional accessory - 3 mm weigh below hook for $48.00). You
can attach a sample using a suspension wire, for example. Common applications
for weighing below the balance includes density determination.

Sartorius
Entris Laboratory Balance Series is a new digital scale from Sartorius Mechatronics. Lightening fast weighing results, high-contrast backlit LCD and a spirit bubble located to the left of the weighing display so you know your balance is level to measure optimum accuracy. Combining affordability with a versatile design the Sartorius Entris is the new
affordable standard for precision 2 decimal place weighing. The Sartorius
Entris Series is great for schools, universities, an pharmaceutical weighing
applications looking for an economical and efficient laboratory balance.
In
the real world there is more to a precision balance then just specs and
average quality. Sartorius has created a new entry level balance featuring both quality and affordability. This new level
in precision weighing technology is the Sartorius Entris Series.
The Sartorius Entris Series toploading balances has more versatility for precision weighing applications: 10 mg to 6,200 g and 0.1 g to 8200 g. Sartorius makes top-of-the-line metrology weighing technology at a reasonable cost.
Reliable weighing results all the
time with an Entris balances even under less than ideal ambient conditions
is possible thanks to Sartorius' highly sophisticated digital compensation
algorithms allowing your new scale or balance to weigh even in the world
ambient conditions.
Sartorius 21st century weighing technology
featuring a unique robotically etched monolithic
weigh cell ensures long-term, high accuracy and minimizes the effects
of temperature drifts. Providing legendary dependability that users
around the world have come to appreciate in a genuine Sartorius lab balance.
The novel housing finish of the Entris
Series balance and scale is made to withstand many aggressive solvents,
such as acetone and ethanol.

In the video below we show you the excellent eccentric loading characteristics of the Sartorius Entris Balances. See as a calibration weight is placed in the center of 4 quadrants on the platform how the Sartorius Entris measures the weight accurately. Not all digital balances weigh accurately and if you own a laboratory balance other than Sartorius we doubt it compares to the Sartorius Entris. If you own an older Sartorius balance or someone tries to give you a deal on a used or discontinued Sartorius balance just forget it and buy the Entris.
To test eccentric loading we place a weight on the center of the weighing platform and record the weight. Now place the same item in 45-degree directions (front left, front right, rear right, and rear left) and compared to the measurement at the center. Compare the weighing results and if you have eccentric errors it just might be time to retire that balance and purchase a new Sartorius Entris.
In the video below we offer a general overview of the Sartorius Entris precision lab balance. We highlight the features, functions and operation of the Sartorius Entris precision balance. See some of the available accessories for the Sartorius Entris like the optional data printer, RS232 cable, calibration weights and weighing below hook.
In the video below we walk you through the menu configuration settings & how to enable or disable weighing applications. The factory default is "weigh" and the weight unit is set to grams only. Easily change this to "Unit" allowing you to toggle an additional 4 weighing units, "Count" for parts counting plus the ability to configure a desired reference sample quantity from 1 to 10, "Percent" for percent weighing proportional to a reference weight commonly used in formulation especially ink mixing, "Animal Weighing" for weighing live insects or small critters, or "Density" for density determination and specific gravity.
See how to configure the Sartorius Entris precision balance changing the factory default setting for the primary weigh unit of grams to pounds. We'll walk you through the steps so you can configure your Entris balance to toggle up to 4 additional different weight units
