GF1200N NTEP Class II Scale offers the same reliability as the GF-1200 digital balance with additional embedded software conforming to US National Conference on Weighing & Measurement requirements for Class II balances. A&D offers an extensive line of pharmacy weighing solutions which comply with most Federal, State and local USP Regulations. The A&D GF1200N can be calibrated externally only and requires the purchase of an 1 kg calibration mass. Calibration is simply a press of the "Cal" button and then placing the external 1000g calibration weight on the weighing platform.
Every location in the world is positioned differently to "magnetic north" and therefore the acceleration of gravity is slightly different. In addition, barometric pressure effects the acceleration of gravity depending upon your location's altitude to sea level. This is why the user manual always states to calibrate the balance prior to weighing.
A&D Weighing is one of the few balance manufacturers to offer an optional GX11 draftshield for a 0.01 gram precision balance. If you are weighing in an environment that is less than ideal this shield prevents air currents from causing the balance pan to move, which results in fluctuating readings. By protecting the balance weighing platform with a draft shield a stable constant mass reading can be observed. The three sliding glass doors allows for easy access from the right, left or top.
A&D Weighing balances equipped with the RS-232 interface can use AND's WinCT data acquisition software data communication software. Other manufacturer's charge you $100's more for either their balance communication software or a third party software but not with the A&D you can download WinCT balance software free.
High performance and quality is shown with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. Review the manufacturer warranty from other manufacturer's and you'll see their warranty is a lot less. Plus if you ever need repair A&D Weighing has two facilities in the USA located in Georgia and California for fast turn around.
The following 6 models of the GF Series are legal for trade:
The stabilization time of one second is achieved when FAST is selected for the response rate to read a displayed value after a sample is placed on the pan. Other features include: a data memory function to store up to 40 sets of weighing data; Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) data output using the standard RS-232C serial interface; Large bright vacuum fluorescent display which lets you read the display from wherever you are working, even in a dimly lit area; Comparator Indicators displaying the comparison results; Capacity Indicator, displaying the weight value in percentage relative to the weighing capacity; Hold Function, provided for weighing a moving object such as an animal; Underhook, for measuring density and weighing magnetic materials; Density Mode, for calculating the density of a solid; Reference Card, provided for a quick reference to the balance operation; IP54 level dust & splash; Patented Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS)
If you need an NTEP Approved Class II balance and the GF1200N is too costly for your pocketbook we recommend you take a look at the AND FX-1200iN Class II balance.
If you need greater weighing capacity while still meeting NTEP requirements then review the additional FXi-N NTEP digital scales (FX-2000iN or FX-3000iN).
We understand purchasing a quality legal for trade scale is a major capital expense and if you have any questions give us a call and one of our weighing experts can discuss your weighing application and get you the most affordable balance for your weighing needs. Precision Weighing Balances has been selling lab balances online since 1995. Sadly, most of the catalog companies and vendors online have never even turned on a balance and can't answer any questions about how the balance functions.

Caveat
Emptor
- Balance requirements vary from state to state. The requirements
are dictated with each state's pharmacy law and regulations. Determining
the requirements involves perusing each state's pharmacy law and regulations
to determine the requirements. Precision Weighing Balances suggests
contacting the agency that authorizes your pharmacy license for approval
of this balance prior to making the purchase. Although this balances
is approved on a national level as a pharmacy balance, state and local
agency may supersede with their own regulations. It
is the purchaser's responsible to verify using the above balance is in compliance
with your pharmacy license requirements.
If the GF1200P is too expensive we offer the FX-1200iN.
There is a lot of confusion when it comes to buying the FX-i NTEP digital balances and hopefully this video will clear those issues up do you don't purchase the wrong balance.
All the model numbers ended with the letter "N" which designate NTEP Approved or Legal for Trade for the AND FX-i Series. Many people really don't see any difference between the FX-1200iN and the FX-1200i, but there is. If you require a legal for trade weighing device especially for commercial weighing and you ordered the non-NTEP version you will have problems. As you can guess the FX-iN NTEP Approved models costs more than the FX-i Non-NTEP models.
So here are the differences. You receive the manual with a 1 page addendum explaining how to calibrate the balance along with a "sealing plate" and two(2) "sealing screws" and labeling above the display.
The verification scale division for the FX1200iN is "e"=0.1g just like the GF-1200P
Mettler-Toledo JS Series digital precision balance delivers fast weighing results and are Legal for Trade. We offer the 3200 gram weighing capacity Mettler JS3002G/A, 4200 gram Mettler Toledo JS4002G/A and 6200 gram Mettler-Toledo JS6002G/A balances. These MT balances operate on AC adapter or batteries. The balances are Class II weighing devices and NTEP Approved complying with most commercial weighing application when your local Weights & Measures Inspector tell you to get a weighing instrument with a verification scale division of "e"=0.1 grams.
Are you looking for greater weighing capacity - how about 1500g and the scale increments in 0.01 gram intervals just like the GF-1200P? How about a scale that operates on standard AA batteries or AC Adapter? Then check out the Ohaus SJX1502N/E since this is a nice scale and it will cost you LE$$ money than the GF1200P. See as we unbox and review all the features of the new Ohaus Scout SJX1502. What comes with the scale, how do you setup the scale, where do the batteries go, found the underhook?? All your questions can be answered by watching this informative YouTube video above.
