Calibration and Adjustment is simple with the Entris124i-1S. Simply a press of the "Cal" button and the built-in motorized calibration weight located in the housing is applied and removed automatically for internal calibration. Calibration is the determination of any difference between the measured value displayed and the true weight (mass) of a sample. Adjustment is the correction of this difference, or its reduction to an allowable level within maximum permissible error limits
Sartorius Entris laboratory balances all feature a built-in RS-232 interface enabling you to transfer the weighing results to a computer or connect to the Sartorius YDP20-OCE printer.
The Sartorius Entris124i-1S laboratory balance also features a dynamic animal weighing application which allows this high precision balance to weigh small insects that may be moving on the weighing pan accurately. Parts counting is another great application allowing this high accuracy balance to easily count those extremely small and lightweight parts the typical counting scales can't even sense the weight.
If you compare the specifications of many lab analytical balances on paper, they all look the same - if you've seen one, you've seen them all. But in the real world there is more to a lab analytical balance than just its technical specifications. The Sartorius Entris124i-1S has been specially designed for effective and reliable weighing in daily lab routines. This is where more powerful technology and application oriented operation and features make all the difference.
Using the latest technology. Sartorius utilizes 21st century technology, such as the unique robotically etched monolithic weigh cell, which ensures long-term high accuracy. Sartorius Entris Series features the latest powerful microprocessor technology, shortening the response times for faster results. Reliable weighing results, all of the time - even under less than ideal ambient conditions, thanks to the Entris' highly sophisticated digital compensation algorithms.
Ease of use. When you need to get a heavy workload of repetitive applications done fast and reliably, day and day out, the last thing you need is a lab balance so complicated that it causes operating errors and wastes your valuable time as a result. Welcome to your Entris balance comfort zone: a simple, easy-to-understand control panel, key function assignments and the easy-to-read display are ideal for efficient weighing in your lab. User friendly operation: short, plain English text prompts and cursor keys for navigation make it simple for you to configure the balance to meet your individual requirements. Sartorius products are manufactured with ISO9001 standards and have the CE mark. Sartorius has been proving their trustworthiness thanks to their top-of-the-line technology that ensures maximum accuracy. Sartorius begin building balances in 1871 and holds the Guinness Book of World Record for the most accurate balance in the world. When you have an excellent reputation and image in the technologically sophisticated field of weighing metrology there is no question Sartorius should be your only choice.
The Sartorius Entris124i-1S is the replacement for the discontinued Sartorius Extend ED124S. The Sartorius Extend ED line was phased-out and replaced with the Sartorius Secura 124-1S, Quintix 124-1S or Practum 124-1S. The Secura, Quintix and Practum balances introduced in 2013 featured an entirely new cutting edge design offering with a touch screen display with graphical user interface. These new touch screen balances are very nice and offer advanced weighing applications, but they are also expensive and for some people they prefer tactile keypad buttons over a touchscreen. The Sartorius Entris124i-1S is the same platform, housing, weigh sensor and embedded software as the Sartorius Extend. The only difference is a new display overlay, new microprocessor and now is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. The overall operation of the Extend and Entris are the same.
The Sartorius Entris Series consists 3 Analytical models (4 decimal places), 4 Milligram Balances (3 decimal places), 5 Precision Balances (2 decimal places) & 3 Precision Scales (1 decimal place) and you choose with internal calibration or without internal calibration. See the Complete Entris Series here.
We understand purchasing an analytical balance is a major capital expense and if you have any questions give us a call and one of our weighing experts can discuss your weighing application and get you the most affordable balance for your weighing needs.
For a limited time we are offering Free shipping via UPS Ground in the lower 48 states for the Sartorius Entris124i-1S.

Sartorius Entris64-1S with the Omega 2-Speed Electric Powder Trickler can deliver the results the competitive benchrest needs to reload ammo to the kernel of powder. We use Hogdgon H4350 powder and show how the powder weighs between 0.020 -- 0.030 grains and how easy you can weigh accurate charges to the kernel.
To weigh to the kernel of powder you need an analytical balance the weighs to 0.0001 grams. When the Sartorius Entris64-1S weigh mode is configured to grains the balance increments in 0.002 grain divisions. You will not be able to know every bullet is weighed to the kernel of powder with a milligram balance (0.001g) since most milligram balances increment in only 0.02 grains (See this video for proof).
Sartorius
Entris Laboratory Balance Series is a new lab balance from Sartorius Mechatronics. Lightening fast weighing results, high-contrast backlit LCD and a spirit bubble located to the left of the weighing display so you know your balance is level to measure optimum accuracy. Combining affordability with a versatile design the Sartorius Entris is the new
affordable standard for analytical 4 decimal place weighing. The Sartorius
Entris Series is great for schools, universities, an pharmaceutical weighing
applications looking for an economical and efficient laboratory balance.
Sartorius Entris analytical balances display increments in 0.002 grains divisions. Long-range competitive shooters (600+ yards) always shoot for an edge over their rivals and one way is to shoot very uniform ammo. Weighing charges, bullets and primers to 0.002gn can make shot velocities more uniform within a shot string. Forget those inconsistent low cost strain gauge scales that weigh the same charge differently each time. If you want to win the competition you need every round to the exact kernel.
In this video we will walk you through the steps to change the default factory setting of grams to grains. once you make these changes your balance will power up each time in the grains mode. In this demonstration we use the Entris224-1S, but the steps are the same for all Satorius Entris models.
