Shipping is pricey since Healthometer only ships the 2842 vet scale via motor freight only. Due to the size of the scale they don't want to ship standard UPS Ground of Fedex Ground since they have experienced the 2842 gets damaged in transit. Shipping motor freight the scale is shipped on a pallet and not thrown around on a conveyor like ground parcels are handled with UPS and FedEx.
