Acculab is a victim of deleveraging and the brand Acculab has terminated production on December 31, 2010. The information listed below on the VIC-212 is for reference only for those people researching the specification on a VIC212 scale they already own.
Yes - Acculab DOES NOT EXIST in 2011 since Sartorius decided to shutdown the Acculab brand name. The Acculab VIC-212 was resurrected as the Sartorius AY212 but these are not available since Sartorius is experiencing excessive lead times. For those customers that can not wait we offer many excellent alternative models which are in stock. We really recommends the A&D EJ-200 for those clients looking for something similar to the VIC-212. Although the EJ-200 and VIC-212 look totally different both models are designed to let the end user purchase an optional RS-232 or USB module. If you are looking for something more affordable we have My Weigh's i201 balance or i601 that offers 600g x 0.01g, for a very low cost. We also have the A&D EK-200i, or the Ohaus SP202. all in stock without an excessive lead.
Be sure to review the Adam Equipment Highland HCB302 offering so many features, value at an affordable price. Adam's HCB Series comes with both the RS-232 and USB interface as standard equipment and the HandiCal- mechanical internal calibration with built in mass can be locked so only you calibrate the scale when you want to.
If you need additional help finding a digital scale that is in stock give the experts a call at Precision Weighing Balances since we carry scales from many other manufacturers.

Acculab balances are excellent weighing solutions, but often times, our customers are looking for a lower cost balance without all the bells and whistles included in an
Acculab balance. For our customers seeking a simplified digital balance, with less features than Acculab's products, we recommend My Weigh brand balances.
My Weigh's i201 balance offers 200 g x 0.01 g at a much more affordable price.. Another greater MyWeigh scale is the i601 that offers 600g x 0.01g at practically the same price as the VIC-212.
If you are a jeweler or pawn shop and were told by a Weights & Measures Inspector that you need a Legal for Trade Class II Scale the Acculab VIC212 is NOT Legal for Trade and we recommend you purchase the Mettler Toledo JL602-G/LA00 digital scale.
