Beware of anyone trying to sell you the AY10000 since the manufacturer warranty has ran out and there are no parts and accessories available from Sartorius. There are plenty of other alternative models available and if you need help give us a call. We just despise seeing some people selling AY10000 to people as brand new when you are buying a scale with NO WARRANTY and NO AVAILABLE parts or accessories AVAILABLE FROM SARTORIUS. Don't be hoodwinked stay away from the AY10000 and always buy a current production model.
The Sartorius AY10000 has been discontinued and no longer in production as of January 2013. The Sartorius AY line was phased-out and replaced with the new Practum 6100-1S. The Practum balances are an entirely new cutting edge design offering superior weighing technology over the AY10000. We have no remaining stock on the AY10000 and all information displayed herein is for archival and support purposes only.
Sartorius AY10000 has been discontinued by Sartorius and no longer in production. Sartorius has no remaining stock on any of the AY10000 and we are sold out. The information below is for reference only for those people that already own the AY-10000 and want to reveiw the specification.
In October of 2012 Sartorius stopped production on the AY10000 and decided to focus on selling more expensive laboratory balances priced over $1000. Sartorius does not have a replacement model of the AY10000 since they no longer want to be selling low cost digital scales in the below $1000 price segment.
If you are a Bevinco alcohol and beverage inventory auditor and already own the AY10000 and looking for the optional RS-232, USB interface kits or carrying case we do have these accessories while supplies last. Some Bevinco franchise owners have purchased the AY5101 as an alternative since there are no remaining stock on the AY10000. While the AY10000 had a weighing capacity up to 10100 grams the AY5101 is only 5100 gram. 5100 gram is equivalent to 11.2 pounds and there are very few liquor bottles that weigh over 11 pounds. The AY10000 only incremented in 1 gram graduations while the AY5101 graduations are 0.1 gram (so 10 times more readability). Once our inventory of the AY5101 are sold out Bevinco's alternative approved scale is the A&D EJ6100. If you want to connect the EJ6100 scale to your computer you'll want to buy the optional EJ-03 RS-232C Serial Interface. The AND USB Interface has been tested by Beninco and will NOT work. Therefore, DO NOT PURCHASE the EJ-02 USB interface. This information can be found on Bevinco's internal site under approved equipment.
Sartorius AY-10000 offers 10100 grams weighing capacity with readability to 1 gram and comes standard with the AC adapter (calibration weight is an optional accessory) and extremely popular for Bevinco franchise owners. Want to protect your AY10000 ? - we recommend you purchase the optional YDB06 carrying scale since the #1 cause of failure is applying an excessive load to the weighing platform when you transport your digital scale from one liquor audit to the next audit.
If you are not weighing liquor bottle don't worry people buy the AY10000 for many other uses like weighing falcons since there isn't many portable battery operated scales on the market today that can weigh up to 10100 grams and increment in 1 gram graduations. The AY10000 is also used by many fish and game and natural resource officers to weigh wildlife in the field.
Sartorius owned Acculab and shut down the brand in Dec of 2010. The AY10000 by Sartorius is the exact same balance as the the Acculab VIC10kg, except they changed the color of the plastic from gray to white, changed the overlay keypad and changed the display slightly and, of course, raised the price. This model AY10000 laboratory balance also replaces the Sartorius ELT6001 scale.
As of 2013, Sartorius AY10000 has been discontinued by Sartorius and there is no direct replacement. Some Bevinco franchise owners have purchased the AND EJ6100 as an alternative since there are no remaining stock on the AY10000. All information displayed herein is for support purposes only.
