6100g capacity with 0.1 readability and build to last with the Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS), since it is a rugged sensor by design, there is less chances for breakage. If it does break, we can isolate and repair the portion damaged, thus minimize the repair or service costs and downtime. Plus the GF-6100 digital balance can be purchased with the optional GX-02 USB Interface which replaces the RS-232 or to make things even easier purchase the optional USB to 25pin RS-232 Converter.
The weighing platform measures 6.5 x 6.5 inches. Stabilization time of one second is achieved when FAST is selected for the response rate to read a displayed value after a sample is placed on the pan. Other features include: a data memory function to store up to 40 sets of weighing data; Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) data output using the standard RS-232C serial interface; Large bright vacuum fluorescent display which lets you read the display from wherever you are working, even in a dimly lit area; Comparator Indicators displaying the comparison results; Capacity Indicator, displaying the weight value in percentage relative to the weighing capacity; Hold Function, provided for weighing a moving object such as an animal; Underhook, for measuring density and weighing magnetic materials; Density Mode, for calculating the density of a solid; Reference Card, provided for a quick reference to the balance operation; IP54 level dust & splash; Patented Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS)
The AND GF6000 is external calibration. When the balance is first installed or when it is moved to another location, it should be calibrated to ensure accurate weighing results. We always recommend you purchase an optional external 5kg calibration weight so you can perform the external calibration. Calibration is simply a press of the "Cal" button and then placing the external 5000g calibration weight on the weighing platform. The GF6000 like many of the other A&D balances offers the ability to select different masses that best meets your weighing application for calibration. To learn more about the selectable calibration setting click here. We also offer a large selection of calibration masses here.
Another option is to upgrade to A&D GX6000 with motorized internal calibration weight.
Every location in the world is positioned differently to "magnetic north" and therefore the acceleration of gravity is slightly different. In addition, barometric pressure effects the acceleration of gravity depending upon your location's altitude to sea level. This is why the user manual always states to calibrate the balance prior to weighing.
High performance and quality is shown with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. Review the manufacturer warranty from other manufacturer's and you'll see their warranty is a lot less. Plus if you ever need repair A&D Weighing has two facilities in the USA located in Georgia and California for fast turn around.
Never heard of A&D? A&D is currently the world's third largest manufacturer of laboratory and industrial balances with 20% of the world market share. Established in 1977, A&D Company, Ltd. has grown from developing digital-to-analog converters for companies such as Nippon Telegraph & Telephone, to becoming a world class producer of advanced measuring equipment for medicine, science and industry. A&D established itself as a multinational corporation, with offices in the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, Korea, Taiwan and Russia, and as a world leader in measurement equipment. The company's competitive edge is the direct result of its ability to leverage strong engineering and manufacturing capabilities, while incorporating highly accurate analog and digital technologies into broad product lines focused to provide customers with the greatest value.
If you prefer to buy a balance that comes standard with USB interface take a look at the Practum 6101-1S or Quintix 6101-1S. The A&D GF & GX Series come standard with a serial RS-232 interface and there is an optional GX-02 USB interface, but it is only uni-directional. Most people want bi-directional so they can send and received data from the balance, with A&D you can only send data when purchased with GX-02 USB.
If the GF-6000 is too expensive and doesn't fit your budget we do have some other models we highly recommend you review that are more affordable like the Sartorius ENTRIS8201-1S, Adam PGL8001, A&D EK6100i or A&D EJ6100 but these are all strain gauge base scales while the GF6100 is a SHS.
We made a special purchase on the AND EK6100J which is Legal for Trade while the AND GF6000 is NOT LFT. Our huge purchase of the A&D EK6100J allows us to sell the EK-6100J for a LOT LE$$ while supplies last. So take a look at the A&D Weighing EK6100J before you make your final selection.
We understand purchasing an precision balance is a major capital expense and if you have any questions give us a call and one of our weighing experts can discuss your weighing application and get you the most affordable balance for your weighing needs.

offers all the spectacular features of the GX-Seriesexcept the internal motorized
calibration feature has been removed. Therefore, the
GF6000 laboratory balance has the samedisplay, features,
ip-65 rating, SHS technology except
there is no internal calibration mass.
9000 procedures favor the calibration of balances with an external
certified calibration mass. A balance with internal motorized
calibration weight is a nice feature, but costly. Most
balances with the internal calibration feature also offer external
calibration. External calibration is vital since it is
much more convenient to send out the external calibration mass
for recalibration/certification verses the costly fee of having
the internal calibration mass removed from the balance and sent
out for re-calibration.
addition, if you own several of the same balances just one external
traceable calibration is needed for ISO compliance.
Weighing Balances always recommends that you purchase the calibration
mass with any balance you select. This allows you
to calibrate the unit yourself without requiring the services
of an outside calibration firm. Best
of all calibration couldn't be simpler. Connect the AC
adapter and warm up the balance with nothing on the weighing
pan. Then simply turn "ON" the balance, allow
the balance to go through the power-up routine and then press
and hold the "CAL" until "CALout" is displayed.
The display walks you through the cal procedure in less than
1 minute. The entire cal is controlled by the user-friendly
keypad. The days of opening the balance and tweaking those
potentiometers and trim resistors to calibrate a scale are gone
with the advent of the digital circuit and EPROM technology
first implemented by A&D Engineer's.

Before you make your final selection be sure to see the new Sartorius ENTRIS8201-1S since we have special promotional pricing on the Entris8201-1S allowing you to buy it for A LOT LE$$ than the GF6000. The AND GF6000 is a great digital balance, but people are always calling for available lower cost equivalent and the Entris 8201-1S is something you should review.
Before you make your final decision for purchasing your next precision laboratory balance be sure to see the Sartorius Entris Series. Lightening fast weighing results, high-contrast backlit LCD and a spirit bubble located to the left of the weighing display so you know your balance is level to measure optimum accuracy. Combining afford ability with a versatile design the Sartorius Entris is the affordable standard for precision 1 decimal place weighing.
Take your pick either motorized internal calibration with the Sartorius Entris8201i-1S or if you want to spend a lot less and willing to give up motorized internal calibration then review the Sartorius Entris8201-1S balances which is external calibration only. These Sartorius Entris tenth of a gram balances offer a large 7.1" square weighing platform. See the quick settling time as we place calibration weights on the weighing platform.
Sartorius Quintix and Sartorius Practum digital laboratory balances features a beautiful touchscreen display that makes configuring your digital lab scale a breeze. No more pressing multiple keypads in the exact sequence to turn "ON" or turn "OFF" a particular weighing mode. The Sartorius Secura, Quintix and Practum offers a true USB interface that allows for simple weighing results data transfer to Microsoft Word or Excel without any additional data acquisition software. For the ultimate weighing equipment Sartorius balances are the weighing choice around the world.
