We have NO remaining stock on the AND GF-8000 since production was discontinued in 2018. All information displayed herein is for archival and support purposes only. All information displayed herein is for archival purposes only to assist people that might already own this precision balance. We do not have any remaining parts or accessories left for the AND GF8000.
A&D Weighing balances equipped with the RS-232 interface can use AND's WinCT data acquisition software data communication software. Other manufacturer's charge you $100's more for either their balance communication software or a third party software but not with the A&D you can download WinCT balance software free.
The AND GF8000 is external calibration. When the balance is first installed or when it is moved to another location, it should be calibrated to ensure accurate weighing results. We always recommend you purchase an optional external 8000g calibration weightso you can perform the external calibration. Calibration is simply a press of the "Cal" button and then placing the external 8kg calibration weight on the weighing platform. Another option is to upgrade to A&D GX8000 with motorized internal calibration weight.
Every location in the world is positioned differently to "magnetic north" and therefore the acceleration of gravity is slightly different. In addition, barometric pressure effects the acceleration of gravity depending upon your location's altitude to sea level. This is why the user manual always states to calibrate the balance prior to weighing.
The weighing platform measures 6.5 x 6.5 inches. The stabilization time of one second is achieved when FAST is selected for the response rate to read a displayed value after a sample is placed on the pan. Other features include: a data memory function to store up to 40 sets of weighing data; Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) data output using the standard RS-232C serial interface; Large bright vacuum fluorescent display which lets you read the display from wherever you are working, even in a dimly lit area; Comparator Indicators displaying the comparison results; Capacity Indicator, displaying the weight value in percentage relative to the weighing capacity; Hold Function, provided for weighing a moving object such as an animal; Underhook, for measuring density and weighing magnetic materials; Density Mode, for calculating the density of a solid; Reference Card, provided for a quick reference to the balance operation; IP54 level dust & splash; Patented Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS)
Need to use the balance in a area without a computer?? No problem A&D offers an optional 8121B data printer to meet your GLP/GMP requirements.
High performance and quality is shown with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. Review the manufacturer warranty from other manufacturer's and you'll see their warranty is a lot less. Plus if you ever need repair A&D Weighing has two facilities in the USA located in Georgia and California for fast turn around.
A&D is a technology driven, market oriented, global manufacturer of measurement equipment providing ...Clearly a Better Value.
We understand purchasing a quality precision balance is a major capital expense and if you have any questions give us a call and one of our weighing experts can discuss your weighing application and get you the most affordable balance for your weighing needs. Precision Weighing Balances has been selling lab balances online since 1995 and we know balances so well we've been hired by some of the most prestigious law firms in America as an expert witness. Sadly, most of the catalog companies and vendors online have never even turned on a balance and can't answer any questions about how the balance functions.
offers all the spectacular features of the GX-Seriesexcept the internal motorized
calibration feature has been removed. Therefore, the
GF8000 laboratory balance has the samedisplay, features,
ip-65 rating, SHS technology except
there is no internal calibration mass.
9000 procedures favor the calibration of balances with an external
certified calibration mass. A balance with internal motorized
calibration weight is a nice feature, but costly. Most
balances with the internal calibration feature also offer external
calibration. External calibration is vital since it is
much more convenient to send out the external calibration mass
for recalibration/certification verses the costly fee of having
the internal calibration mass removed from the balance and sent
out for re-calibration.
addition, if you own several of the same balances just one external
traceable calibration is needed for ISO compliance.
Weighing Balances always recommends that you purchase the calibration
mass with any balance you select. This allows you
to calibrate the unit yourself without requiring the services
of an outside calibration firm. Best
of all calibration couldn't be simpler. Connect the AC
adapter and warm up the balance with nothing on the weighing
pan. Then simply turn "ON" the balance, allow
the balance to go through the power-up routine and then press
and hold the "CAL" until "CALout" is displayed.
The display walks you through the cal procedure in less than
1 minute. The entire cal is controlled by the user-friendly
keypad. The days of opening the balance and tweaking those
potentiometers and trim resistors to calibrate a scale are gone
with the advent of the digital circuit and EPROM technology
first implemented by A&D Engineer's.
Before you make your final decision for purchasing your next precision laboratory balance be sure to see the Sartorius Entris Series. Lightening fast weighing results, high-contrast backlit LCD and a spirit bubble located to the left of the weighing display so you know your balance is level to measure optimum accuracy. Combining afford ability with a versatile design the Sartorius Entris is the affordable standard for precision 1 decimal place weighing.
Take your pick either motorized internal calibration with the Sartorius Entris8201i-1S or if you want to spend a lot less and willing to give up motorized internal calibration then review the Sartorius Entris8201-1S balances which is external calibration only. These Sartorius Entris tenth of a gram balances offer a large 7.1" square weighing platform. See the quick settling time as we place calibration weights on the weighing platform.
Sartorius Quintix and Sartorius Practum digital laboratory balances features a beautiful touchscreen display that makes configuring your digital lab scale a breeze. No more pressing multiple keypads in the exact sequence to turn "ON" or turn "OFF" a particular weighing mode. The Sartorius Secura, Quintix and Practum offers a true USB interface that allows for simple weighing results data transfer to Microsoft Word or Excel without any additional data acquisition software. For the ultimate weighing equipment Sartorius balances are the weighing choice around the world.
