Fast 3100g x 0.01g with the Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS) gives you the ultimate in response speed - Just ONE Second! A&D is made in Japan and the company has facilities in Milpitas, California and Norcross, Georgia. The GF3000 easily connects to a PC with WinCT software (standard), so you can import the data into your PC software, such as Windows XP Word/Excel software. An optional AD8121B printer can be purchased for those needing a GLP print out.
GF3000 can be purchased with the optional GX11 draftshield with three sliding glass doors allows for easy access from the right, left or top. If you are weighing in an environment that is less than ideal this shield prevents air currents from causing the balance pan to move, which results in fluctuating readings. By protecting the balance weighing platform with a draft shield a stable constant mass reading can be observed.
The AND GF3000 is external calibration. When the balance is first installed or when it is moved to another location, it should be calibrated to ensure accurate weighing results. We always recommend you purchase an optional external 3kg calibration weight so you can perform the external calibration. Calibration is simply a press of the "Cal" button and then placing the external 3000g calibration weight on the weighing platform. Another option is to upgrade to A&D GX4000 with motorized internal calibration weight.
Every location in the world is positioned differently to "magnetic north" and therefore the acceleration of gravity is slightly different. In addition, barometric pressure effects the acceleration of gravity depending upon your location's altitude to sea level. This is why the user manual always states to calibrate the balance prior to weighing.
A&D Lab Balances are accompanied by the industry leading five-year warranty, assuring long lasting quality and performance. Compare all the features, standard accessories, and price and you'll see it's tough to pass up purchasing any of the A&D Weighing Laboratory Balances for your precision weighing needs.
If you prefer to buy a balance that comes standard with USB interface take a look at the Practum 3102-1S or Quintix 3102-1S. The A&D GF & GX Series come standard with a serial RS-232 interface and there is an optional GX-02 USB interface, but it is only uni-directional. Most people want bi-directional so they can send and received data from the balance, with A&D you can only send data when purchased with GX-02 USB.
Haven't heard of A&D Weighing? They are the third largest manufacturer of laboratory balances and scales in the world. Corporate headquarters are based in Japan but US offices in California and Georgia. AND Weighing has fabulous product support with a dedicated product support line at 1-800-726-4940 6:00 am to 5:00 pm PST.
Are you working in a pharmaceutical lab and need to comply with stringent FDA requirements and must comply with SQmin? Be sure to review Secura 3102-1S since none of the A&D GF models allow you to enable SQmin nor additional safety weighing features like the ability to program the minimum weight value so when you attempt to weigh samples below a set threshold the weight reading is displayed on screen in red. Secura is one of the world's most technologically advance weighing instrument we offer and also has built-in level verification, password protection, and memory tracking is also available. The Sartorius Practum, Quintix and Secura all feature a touch screen user interface for easy balance configuration.
We understand purchasing a quality lab balance is a major capital expense and if you have any questions give us a call and one of our weighing experts can discuss your weighing application and get you the most affordable balance for your weighing needs. Precision Weighing Balances has been selling lab balances online since 1995 and we know balances so well we've been hired by some of the most prestigious law firms in America as an expert witness. Sadly, most of the catalog companies and vendors online have never even turned on a balance and can't answer any questions about how the balance functions.
If price is absolutely the #1 factor in you purchasing a 3100 gram balance with 0.01g readability designed with a force restoration magnetic motor then we would recommend you take a look at the AND FX-3000i or SartoriusENTRIS3202-1S.
offers all the spectacular features of the GX-Seriesexcept the internal motorized
calibration feature has been removed. Therefore, the
GF3000 precision lab balance has the samedisplay, features,
ip-65 rating, SHS technology except
there is no internal calibration mass.
procedures favor the calibration of balances with an external certified
calibration mass. A balance with internal motorized calibration
weight is a nice feature, but costly. Most balances with the internal
calibration feature also offer external calibration. External
calibration is vital since it is much more convenient to send out the
external calibration mass for recalibration/certification verses the
costly fee of having the internal calibration mass removed from the
balance and sent out for re-calibration.
addition, if you own several of the same balances just one external
traceable calibration is needed for ISO compliance.
Weighing Balances always recommends that you purchase the calibration
mass with any balance you select. This allows you
to calibrate the unit yourself without requiring the services
of an outside calibration firm. Best
of all calibration couldn't be simpler. Connect the AC
adapter and warm up the balance with nothing on the weighing
pan. Then simply turn "ON" the balance, allow
the balance to go through the power-up routine and then press
and hold the "CAL" until "CALout" is displayed.
The display walks you through the cal procedure in less than
1 minute. The entire cal is controlled by the user-friendly
keypad. The days of opening the balance and tweaking those
potentiometers and trim resistors to calibrate a scale are gone
with the advent of the digital circuit and EPROM technology
first implemented by A&D Engineer's.
Watch the review of the FX-3000i from AND Weighing. The FX-i is the economy model A&D Weighing offers for those customers not willing to pony up the money for the AND GF Series. The FZ-i is the economy model A&D offers for those customers not willing to pony up the money for the A&D Weighing GX Series. The A&D FZ-3000i might be an option if the GX4000 precision balance is too expensive for your budget.
Before you make your final decision for purchasing your next precision laboratory balance be sure to see the Sartorius Entris Series. Lightening fast weighing results, high-contrast backlit LCD and a spirit bubble located to the left of the weighing display so you know your balance is level to measure optimum accuracy. Combining affordability with a versatile design the Sartorius Entris is the affordable standard for precision 2 decimal place weighing.
Take your pick either motorized internal calibration with the Sartorius Entris3202i-1S, 4202i-1S or 6202i-1S lab balances. Want to spend a lot less and willing to give up motorized internal calibration then review these Entris balances that are external calibration only - Sartorius Entris3202-1S, 4202-1S or 6202-1S. These Sartorius Entris hundredth of a gram balances offer a large 7.1" square weighing platform. See the quick settling time as we place calibration weights on the weighing platform.
Sartorius Secura Laboratory Balance offer advanced weighing features compliant with the USP minimum sample weight requirements. The balance's display indicates when the minimum sample weight is below the required minimum weight limit.
Secura guarantees high reliability and security in regulated areas for the most common weighing ranges. Sartorius Quintix is convenience in operation, calibration and data transfer. Even Sartorius Practum features weighing technology at the highest quality level.
