Sartorius ED153-N has been discontinued and no longer in production as of May 2013. The Sartorius ED line was phased-out and replaced with the new Quintix 213-1S or Secura 213-1S, but the balances are not legal for trade. If you need a LFT balance then look at the A&D FX200iN or AND FX300iN.The Secura and Quintix balances are an entirely new cutting edge design offering superior weighing technology over the ED153-N. We have no remaining stock on the ED153-N and all information displayed herein is for archival and support purposes only.
Sartorius Extend ED153-N is a legal for trade, class 2 digital scale. Sartorius ED153-N complies with Grain Inspection Packers and Stockyards Administration [GIPSA] requirements for grain test scales.
This jewelry scale from Sartorius also features an RS232 interface as well as counting and percent weighing functions. The RS232 interface allows you to connect the scale to Sartorius optional auxiliary display so the customer can see the weight while you are standing on the opposite side of the jewelry case. You also can use the RS232 interface to connect the scale to a Sartorius YDP20OCE printer or computer for data acquisition.
For use as a Class II balance in general purpose weighing, direct sale of precious metals or gems (e.g. Jewelry Scale), GIPSA grain test scale and prescription counting.
To meet the sealing requirement of NTEP a pressure sensitive, tamper evident seal is placed over the covered hole on the rear of the balance. This restricts access to calibration and configuration parameters. A second pressure sensitive, tamper evident seal is placed over the seam where the case separates on the rear of the balance.
Legal for Trade is required in most states in the USA whenever commerce is occurring and money is being exchanged for a product by weight. You can read and learn more about what Legal for Trade means HERE.
The prescription counting program enables you to determine the number of parts that each have approximately equal weight. To do this, a known number of parts (the reference sample quantity) is weighed first, and the individual piece weight (reference weight) is calculated from this result. Thus, the number of parts subsequently placed on the balance can be determined
The counting feature will only accept a minimum reference count of 10. The minimum weight to establish a sample is 30e. Since the ED153-N "e" is 0.001g the minimum sample weight is 0.03g (0.001g x 30 = 0.03g)
When you select the Sartorius Extend Series you get lightening fast weighing results, high-contrast backlit LCD, plus an intuitive menu navigation that makes the operators manual practical obsolete. You can also purchase these extend balances with factory installed built-in motorized calibration. In
the real world there is more to a milligram balance then just specs and
average quality. Sartorius has created a new level between basic (AZ
Series) and standard balances (CPA
Series) with, both in quality and affordability. This new level
in milligram weighing technology is the Sartorius Extend Series.
The Sartorius Extend Series has more
versatility in high-resolution applications: 1 mg to 620 g and 10 mg to
6,200 g. Sartorius makes top-of-the-line technology at a reasonable
cost.
Reliable weighing results all the
time with an Extend balances even under less than ideal ambient conditions
is possible thanks to Sartorius' highly sophisticated digital compensation
algorithms allowing your new scale or balance to weigh even in the world
ambient conditions.
Sartorius 21st century weighing technology
featuring a unique robotically etched monolithic
weigh cell ensures long-term, high accuracy and minimizes the effects
of temperature drifts. Providing legendary dependability that users
around the world have come to appreciate in a genuine Sartorius lab balance.
The novel housing finish of the Extend
Series balance and scale is made to withstand many aggressive solvents,
such as acetone and ethanol.
