Acculab VIC-2mg [210g x 0.005g] operates on AC Adapter ONLY, features a 4 inch
diameter stainless steel weighing pan with round glass draft ring and comes with
the calibration mass. Built in Arvada, Colorado and backed with a 2-year
parts and labor limited factory warranty!
The Acculab VIC-2mg is a low cost scale since it's weigh cell is built using strain
gauge technology. The strain gauge can give you good weighing results
for weighing static loads, but do drift much more due to temperature variations
caused by excitation energy used with a loadcell strain gauge weigh sensor.
You do get better performance, linearity and repeatability with an electromagnetic
weigh sensor like those found in the Acculab
ALC-320.3 or Sartorius
GC2502 but this weigh sensor design cost more money. If you're on a
tight budget and your weighing results aren't for a super critical application
then the Acculab VIC2mg might be your best choice.
The new VICON series are ideal balances for Industrial, Laboratories, Research,
Educational, Specialty Weighing Applications and more. Whether weighing
multiple samples with totaled results, formulating a color, counting, percent
weighing, specific gravity, or under pan weighing, Acculab has the answer in VICON.
The new models feature a flip-down protective cover that is removable, stainless
steel pan and back-lit display.

Before you decide to purchase an Acculab VIC-2mg milligram
balance we suggest you review the Sartorius ED623S.
Acculab's VIC-2mg milligram balance only weighs up to 200 g x 0.005 mg, while ED623S balances feature a weighing capacity of 620 g x 0.001 g.
Acculab VIC-2mg is a nice low cost milligram balance, however the ED623S from Sartorius offers more than double the capacity, and is built to last. Rather
than using strain gauge technology which can wear out over time, ED623S features a unique robotically etched monolithic weigh cell ensuring long-term, high accuracy and minimizes the effects of temperature drifts. Sartorius ED623S balances should be considered if you would like a faster, stronger built balance, standard RS232 interface, and more than double the weighing capacity.

Lifetime
We don't sell based on warranty because balances don't break people break balances, but if your into warranties, My Weigh is longer.
Power
Comes standard with AC Adapter or use with batteries (not included).
Calibration
Both models include an external calibration mass.
We can't sell Acculab balances at a lower price and continue to stay in business, however we can offer a more affordable alternative. My Weigh digital scales may not have all the features as Acculab, but if you need a low cost scale, My Weigh is the least expensive we have to offer.
