We are sold out of the VIC-123 but we do have in stock the Acculab
VIC-303 which is the same scale with greater weighing capacity and of course costs a little more money. We have never ran out of stock on the Acculab VIC-123 Milligram Scale since we kept a huge inventory but when Acculab hasn't been able to fill our orders for the VIC-123 dating back to Dec of 2009 eventually we would run out of stock. Acculab which is part of the Sartorius Group really has some major problems with deliverying any scale since they laid off so many employees they don't have anyone to build the parts needs to assemble the scale. The Sartorius Group thinks there is nothing wrong with deliverying an order 2-3 months after we place an order with the factory. So now we have no more VIC-123 and we have no clue when Acculab will ever build and ship us anymore since Acculab doesn't seem to know. All our sales rep tells us is things will get better on delivery someday. So for now if you are looking for the VIC-123 we recommend you buy the
Acculab
VIC-303 before we have zero inventory of this scale.
Some people say how do we sell so low. We work on the philosophy that "Pigs get fat and Hogs get slaughtered". We would much rather make a few percent for a quick turn on merchandise than be a hog and make nothing at all. We "sell" our merchandise and do not work on memorandum which enables us to operate on very small margins.
So when that phantom online vendor tells you they can match a price ask them
for the serial number and ask them if they have the balance in THEIR stock.
You'll probably find out they have zero inventory and they can't delivery the
balance you want to order, but they have some new no name brand they allege
is just is good. We all have heard about the Nigerian Scams but the online
sale of balances and scales from unethical vendors are just as bad and the balance
manufacturer's seem to do nothing about online vendors making false statements.

The Acculab VIC-123
[120g x 0.001g] operates AC Adapter ONLY, has a 4 inch diameter weighing pan with
round glass draft ring, and the 100 gram calibration mass is included. Built
in Arvada, Colorado and backed with a 2-year parts and labor limited factory warranty!
The Acculab VIC-123 is a low cost milligram scale since it's weigh cell is built
using strain
gauge technology. The strain gauge can give you good weighing results
for weighing static loads, but can drift much more due to temperature variations
caused by excitation energy used with a loadcell strain gauge weigh sensor.
You'll get better performance, linearity and repeatability with an electromagnetic
weigh sensor like those found in the Acculab
ALC-320.3 or Sartorius
GC2502 but this weigh sensor design cost more money. If you're on a
tight budget and your weighing results aren't for a super critical application
then the Acculab VIC123 might be your best choice.
