Many people call us looking for the absolute best value Precision Weighing Balances can offer in a milligram balance and the answer again and again is the Sartorius GC2502. These customers are not looking for the lowest priced milligram balance, but instead how can they get the most balance for their money relative to the specifications each balance offers. We believe the value is unmatchable since you get lightening fast weighing results, 500 grams weighing capacity with 1 milligram readability, high quality 3 door removable draftsheild, included 200 gram external calibration mass and all topped off with a 3 year limited manufacturer warranty
. You can read more about the Sartorius GC2502 HERE.
Another great value you should review is the Mettler Toledo JL1503-C/A03 featuring an ALL GLASS draft shield and weighing 302 grams weighing capacity and 1 milligram resolution. The Mettler-Toledo JL1503-C/A03 features external calibration and is Legal for Trade (The GF-400 is not Legal for Trade) and Mettler supplies the 200 gram calibration mass for external calibration at no additional cost, while the calibration mass is an option with the GF-400. See more about the Mettler HERE.
The GF-Series
offers all the spectacular features of the GX-Seriesexcept the internal motorized
calibration feature has been removed. Therefore, the
GF400 milligram lab balance has the samedisplay,
features,
ip-65 rating,
SHS technology except
there is no internal calibration mass.
ISO
9000 procedures favor the calibration of balances with an external
certified calibration mass. A balance with internal motorized
calibration weight is a nice feature, but costly. Most
balances with the internal calibration feature also offer external
calibration. External calibration is vital since it is
much more convenient to send out the external calibration mass
for recalibration/certification verses the costly fee of having
the internal calibration mass removed from the balance and sent
out for re-calibration.
In
addition, if you own several of the same balances just one external
traceable calibration is needed for ISO compliance.
Precision
Weighing Balances always recommends that you purchase the calibration
mass with any balance you select. This allows you
to calibrate the unit yourself without requiring the services
of an outside calibration firm. Best
of all calibration couldn't be simpler. Connect the AC
adapter and warm up the balance with nothing on the weighing
pan. Then simply turn "ON" the balance, allow
the balance to go through the power-up routine and then press
and hold the "CAL" until "CALout" is displayed.
The display walks you through the cal procedure in less than
1 minute. The entire cal is controlled by the user-friendly
keypad. The days of opening the balance and tweaking those
potentiometers and trim resistors to calibrate a scale are gone
with the advent of the digital circuit and EPROM technology
first implemented by A&D Engineer's.
