AND Weighing FX-5000i precision balance rivals the competition in the 0.01 gram readability category when you compare the features and weighing performance to the price. You can weigh up to 5200 grams. Cutting edge engineering delivers a precision balance with a nice small footprint saving you lab bench space yet never compromising speed and accuracy. AND Weighing knows how to build a quality lab balance while also making the balance affordable. The FX5000i is back with a 5 year manufacturer warranty against defectives.
Unlike low cost strain gauge scales the FX-5000i has a magnetic force restoration weigh cell so your reading won't creep and drift all over the place.
A&D has built an amazing low cost magnetic force restoration balance that performs lightening fast using their Super Hybrid Sensor technology. This patented weigh cell provides quick stabilization speed with accurate weighing result in 1 second resulting in better productivity. The compact size and small footprint is something no other competitor brand can offer.
The vacuum fluorescent display enables easy-to-read weighing results even in poor lighting conditions.
The FX-i Series comes standard with RS-232C interface for bidirectional communication with a PC, printer or other peripheral devices. Plus AND's WinCT data acquisition software data communication software works with this balance. Other manufacturer's charge you $100's more for either their balance communication software or a third party software, but with the A&D you can download WinCT balance software free. There is also an optional FXi-08 ethernet interface or FXi-02 USB interface available at an additional cost if you prefer not to use RS232 to transfer data from the balance to your computer.
When purchased with the optional AD-8121B printer you'll be GLP/GMP/GCP/ISO Compliant. In accordance with GLP and LIMS regulations, the balance ID number and calibration data can be printed out using A&D's AD-8121B or a PC.
All FX-i laboratory balances are backed with a 5 years manufacturer warranty making it the longest manufacturer warranty in the industry for a high quality lab balance. Next time someone recommends another brand balance ask them if their balance is so good why is the warranty so short. A&D builds a reliable, well built balance and they are so confident that if your FX-5000i balance fails due to a factory defect they will repair or replace the balance at no charge.
Many people haven't heard of A&D Weighing, but they are the third largest manufacturer of laboratory balances and scales in the world. They offer a huge selection of laboratory and industrial balances and you can see the entire line HERE. Corporate headquarters are based in Japan with US offices in California and Georgia.

Before you make your final selection be sure to see the new Sartorius Entris BCE4202-1S or
Sartorius Entris BCE6202-1S. The FX5000i uses a Super Hybrid Sensor which combines magnetic force restoration and single-point parallelogram load sensing technologies. The Sartorius BCE6202-1S uses a monolithic magnetic force restoration for even more accurate & stable weighing results. The Sartorius BCE6202-1S is made in Germany & has a larger 7.1" x 7.1" weighing platform while the FX-5000i is made in South Korea and only a 5.9" round platform.
The FXi-10 small breeze break comes standard with the FX/FZi milligram balances(0.001 gram) and can be upgraded by purchasing the optional FXi-11 large breeze break. The FX/FZi precision balances (those that increment in 0.01 gram divisions) do not come with any windshield, but can be purchased with either optional accessory FXi-10 small breeze break or FXi-11 large breeze break.

In the youtube video above we offer an overview of the AND Weighing FX-300iN discussing the sprint bubble and how important it is to level the balance, the 6 tactile keypads and the functions of these keys. Watch how to change the weigh modes and how simple it is to go from grams to ounce to grains. See the spill guard / plastic cover, the two(2) adjustable feet, RS232 serial interface, weigh below port and many other features that are available with most of the FXi/FZi Series.
In the video above we show you the excellent eccentric loading characteristics of the Sartorius Entris Balances. See as a calibration weight is placed in the center of 4 quadrants on the platform how the Sartorius Entris measures the weight accurately. Not all digital balances weigh accurately and if you own a laboratory balance other than Sartorius we doubt it compares to the Sartorius Entris. If you own an older Sartorius balance or someone tries to give you a deal on a used or discontinued Sartorius balance just forget it and buy the Entris.
To test eccentric loading we place a weight on the center of the weighing platform and record the weight. Now place the same item in 45-degree directions (front left, front right, rear right, and rear left) and compared to the measurement at the center. Compare the weighing results and if you have eccentric errors it just might be time to retire that balance and purchase a new Sartorius Entris.
In the video above we offer a general overview of the Sartorius Entris precision lab balance. We highlight the features, functions and operation of the Sartorius Entris precision balance. See some of the available accessories for the Sartorius Entris like the optional data printer, RS232 cable, calibration weights and weighing below hook.
