We call the VIC-1501 the ink mixing scale, but there are thousands of other uses
and the VIC-1501 digital scale is not designed only for ink mixers but hobbyist,
people mix adhesives and school teachers also buy the VIC-1501 for science experiments.
Acculab VIC-1501 [1500g x 0.1g] operates on either AC Adapter (included with scale)
or 9V battery, offers a large 5.5" x 5.0" weighing pan all at a fabulous
price. Built in Arvata, Colorado and backed with a 2-year parts and labor
limited factory warranty!
VIC-1501 portable toploading scale is brand new and offers so many new features
to the predecessor VI-1200 that we would really say throw your old Acculab VI-1200
away since the VICON is a much, much better balance. Watch out for those
auction sites trying to sell these discontinued VI-1200's since you are really
missing out on many new features and performance and buying old technology.
In our opinion there is no comparison between the older VI-1200 and the new VICON
VIC-1501. You can notice immediately Acculab increased the weighing capacity
from 1200 gram to 1500 grams - an increase of 25% more balance for your money.
Acculab balances are excellent weighing solutions, but often times, our customers are looking for a lower cost balance without all the bells and whistles included in an
Acculab balance. For our customers seeking a simplified digital balance, with less features than Acculab's products, we recommend My Weigh brand balances.
My Weigh's i2600 balance offers 2600g x 0.1g at a much more affordable price.
Additional features include: weigh below underhook
feature for density determination; flip-down protective cover that is removable
and protects your scale and teachers love this feature since the scales are now
stackable; optional USB interface (most laptops only have USB ports); more applications
(now percent function, hold feature, totalizing, specific gravity), larger selection
of weigh modes, new display with backlit for easy viewing especially in poor lighting
environments, and a completely new electronics for much better performance (see
the pictures at the bottom of the page since we took a scale part). Bottom
line is the VICON is a much, much better digital scale.
The new VICON series are ideal balances for Industrial, Laboratories, Research,
Educational, Specialty Weighing Applications and more. Whether weighing
multiple samples with totaled results, formulating a color, counting, percent
weighing, specific gravity, or under pan weighing, Acculab has the answer in VICON.
The VIC-1501 is popular with plastisol screen printers for mixing a quart or
less of ink. If you are looking to mix greater than a quart and up to
1 gallon most printers buy the Sartorius
GE7101 since a gallon of white plastisol ink has the most pigment weighing
around 6800 grams.
