We have NO remaining stock on the Acculab VIC-1501. Acculab is a victim of deleveraging and the brand Acculab has terminated production on December 31, 2010. The information listed below on the VIC-1501 is for reference only for those people researching the specification on a VIC1501 scale they already own.
Yes - Acculab DOES NOT EXIST in 2011 since Sartorius decided to shutdown the Acculab brand name. The Acculab VIC-1501 was resurrected as the Sartorius AY1501 but these typically have lead times since Sartorius is maintains very little stock. For those customers that can not wait we offer many excellent alternative models which are in stock. We have in stock the A&D EJ1500, but you could also look at other alternative models like A&D EK1200i, Ohaus SP2001, MyWeigh i1200 or i2600 which are in stock without the 2 week lead time typically required if you wanted to buy Sartorius.
Be sure to review the Adam Equipment Highland HCB3001 offering so many features, value at an affordable price. Adam's HCB Series comes with both the RS-232 and USB interface as standard equipment and the HandiCal - mechanical internal calibration with built in mass can be locked so only you calibrate the scale when you want to.
If you need additional help finding a digital scale that is in stock give the experts a call at Precision Weighing Balances since we carry scales from many other manufacturers.
VIC-1501 portable toploading scale features include: weigh below underhook
feature for density determination; flip-down protective cover that is removable
and protects your scale and teachers love this feature since the scales are now
stackable; optional USB interface (most laptops only have USB ports); more applications
(now percent function, hold feature, totalizing, specific gravity), larger selection
of weigh modes, new display with backlit for easy viewing especially in poor lighting
environments, and a completely new electronics for much better performance.
The VIC-1501 is popular with plastisol screen printers for mixing a quart or
less of ink. If you are looking to mix greater than a quart and up to
1 gallon most printers buy the Mettler JB8001 since a gallon of white plastisol ink has the most pigment weighing
around 6800 grams.

Before you decide to purchase an Acculab Vicon digital scale
we suggest you review the My Weigh product line.
For those of you shopping around for the best price in digital portable scales, My Weigh makes the least expensive digital scales
we have to offer. These affordable electronic scales may not have all the features that an Acculab balance has, however as far as
basic weighing is concerned, My Weigh portable scales can accomplish the task at hand and save you money.
Acculab balances are excellent weighing solutions, but often times, our customers are looking for a lower cost balance without all the bells and whistles included in an Acculab balance. For our customers seeking a simplified digital balance, with less features than Acculab's products, we recommend My Weigh brand balances. My Weigh's i2600 balance offers 2600g x 0.1g at a much more affordable price.
If you are a jeweler or pawn shop and were told by a Weights & Measures Inspector that you need a Legal for Trade Class II Scale the Acculab VIC1501 is NOT Legal for Trade and we recommend you purchase the A&D EK-1200i or Mettler Toledo JL6001-G/LA01 digital scale.
