Yes - Acculab DOES NOT EXIST in 2011 since Sartorius decided to shutdown the Acculab brand name. The Acculab VIC-711 was resurrected as the Sartorius AY711 but the AY-711 has a different color plastic housing and now more money since it is sold under the Sartorius brand. We offer many excellent alternative models like the My Weigh's i1200 balance, Precision ECS1200, A&D EK-1200, A&D EJ-1500, or the Ohaus SP601.

If you are a jeweler or pawn shop and were told by a Weights & Measures Inspector that you need a Legal for Trade Class II Scale the Acculab VIC711 is NOT Legal for Trade and we recommend you purchase the A&D EK-1200i or Mettler Toledo JL602-G/LA01 digital scale.
