The Ohaus Check-O-Gram balances, which is USDA approved, cleans easily with steam, spray or hose.  There are few nooks and crannies to trap food particles, and the stainless steel pan and fiberglass-reinforced housing shrugs off even strong cleaning solutions.  Gaskets in the tower keep liquids out of the pointer mechanism.  To give you years of accurate weighing, the Ohaus Check-O-Gram balances is equipped with hardened steel knife edges and ultra-durable bearings.  Unlike obsolete oil dashpots, magnetic damping is designed to give you faster reading with years of maintenance-free use.
