Tanita®
is the number one manufacturer of medical, bathroom and kitchen scales
in Japan, and the number three producer worldwide. Tanita's
goal is to help people enjoy healthier lives. The company's
success and expanding global presence is the result of superior technology,
unique design, and high manufacturing standards that have earned
ISO 9001 certification and membership in the JQA (Japanese Quality Association).
The Tanita®
1583 and 1584 are
popular economical digital baby/infant scales for monitoring your newborn
infant's weight progress for home use. The 1583 is also a great
low cost weighing solution for visiting nurse agencies that have limited
budgets and can't afford the more accurate of BLB-12
models.
Having
your first child is an experience of a lifetime and some things are
difficult to notice and monitor. Tanita® baby scales are your
answer to recording your baby's weight changes as each new day progresses.
The Tanita® 1583 is very similar to the Tanita®
1584 baby scale except the 1583 offers greater accuracy and
a LCD display instead of the bright red LED display the 1584
features.
The model
1584 operates only on battery power and 6 - "AA" alkaline
batteries are included with the scale. The scale weighs only 6
pounds and with the optional
C100 durable nylon foam padded carry bag visiting healthcare professional
won't mind carrying the scale into every client's home.
Most of
the baby/infant scales sold for home use are either the Model
1584 (0-20 lbs. x 1 oz, 20-44 lbs. x 2 oz)
or for those people wanting double the accuracy the Model 1583 (0-20
lbs. x 0.5 oz, 20-40 lbs. x 1.0 oz). Our best selling digital
baby scale isn't made by Tanita, but instead is the MyWeigh
