Featuring easy-to-use two-button operation, a high-contrast LCD display, multiple weighing units and the option of either RS232 or USB connectivity (Easy snap-in user installable RS232 or USB interface accessory not included with scale). The Scout Pro is the portable digital balance for your weighing needs. Mechanical and software protection provides superior resistance against shock and overloading.

The Ohaus SP202 is a great digital scale, but we do get calls from people saying they want to buy an American made digital scale (yep, the Ohaus SP202 is made in China) and we do have one available - the Sartorius AY-212. Sartorius is assembled at the Sartorius North America Inc., Mechatronics Division in Arvada, Colorado. Sartorius makes of some of the world's finest balances since 1871 when they introduced the world's first pharmaceutical balance.  The Sartorius AY212 (210g x 0.01g) offers similar specifications as the Ohaus SP202 and we have the Sartorius AY212 priced for less money than the Ohaus SP202.

If price is absolutely the #1 issue and you are in search of the lowest cost 0.01g digital scales then we have a couple of other digital scales that are made in China. These gram scales do not have all the bells and whistles included in an Ohaus SP202, but the price is much less. For our customers seeking a simplified digital portable balance, with less features we recommend Myweigh brand digital scales. My Weigh's i201 balance offers 200 g x 0.01 g at a much more affordable price. Another greater MyWeigh scale is the i601 that offers 600g x 0.01g still priced much, much less than the Ohaus SP202..

If you are a jeweler or pawn shop and were told by a Weights & Measures Inspector that you need a Legal for Trade Class II Scale the Ohaus SP202 is NOT Legal for Trade and we recommend you purchase the Mettler Toledo JL602-G/LA01 digital scale.
