Staying true to the belief that “the customer is always right,” Ohaus Corporation created the Adventurer AS153 milligram scale.  Designed for uncomplicated performance, this new milligram scale has only those features necessary for routine weighing along with a few design and performance extras that help eliminate common nuisances that can arise in laboratory, industrial and educational settings.  The Adventurer AS153 is Ohaus' stripped down milligram lab scale and can not be purchase with an optional internal calibration nor is there any RS-232 port to interface the balance with a printer, computer or peripheral.

Adventurer AS153 Scale has been designed with an up-front level indicator eliminating the need to look behind the balance during the leveling process.  A quick glance at the up-front level indicator helps to ensure that the balance is level prior to each use.

Housed in a compact and efficient design, the Adventurer SL is available in several precision models ranging from 150 x 0.001 grams to 8100 x 1 gram.  Two analytical models are also available with a capacity of 65 or 210 grams.  Simple to operate, the Adventurer SL has a seven segment LCD and two-button keypad.  The balances offer three simple application modes (weighing, simple parts counting, and percentage weighing) with 17 US and international weighing units (kg & lb weigh modes not available).

With twelve models to select from, the Adventurer SL is not overloaded with features seldom used in routine weighing applications, and comes with only those needed in laboratory, industrial or education settings.  You can review all the available models in the Adventurer SL Series at the bottom of this web page.

Before you decide to purchase an Ohaus AS153 milligram scale we suggest you review the Sartorius ED623S. Ohaus AS153 milligram balance only weighs up to 150 g x 1 mg, while Sartorius ED623S features a weighing capacity of 620 g x 0.001 g.  Expect to spend more money for the Sartorius ED623S, but we assure you it is a better balance.  Not only does the Sartorius balance offer a higher weighing capacity, but it is built with a monolithic weigh cell rather than the lower end strain gauge load cell offered by Ohaus.  ED623S balances are built to last, where a strain gauge load cell wears out over time.  There is also an RS232 interface included in the Sartorius balance, but it is not available with the Ohaus AS153.

Multiple Application Modes Including: Parts Counting with Optimization - This mode allows the user to count based on a calculated piece weight.  With optimization, counting accuracy is improved through auto re-calculation of the piece weight. Percentage Mode - This mode allows the user to display the weight of a sample as a percentage of a reference weight.
Selectable Environmental Settings: Three filter modes and adjustable zero tracking are ideal for working in slow filling applications where sensitivity is a must.  When working in harsh environments, user can adjust balance settings to compensate for vibrations and other disturbances.
