We bought all the inventory of A&D's HL-3000WPN washdown scales that are not Legal for Trade.  "Legal for Trade" scales are generally considered those scales which are intended by the manufacturer for use in "commercial" applications where product is sold by weight.  A&D submitted the HL-3000WPN for Legal for Trade / NTEP testing and received the approval recently, but only those scales produced after the approval date are Legal for Trade.  The reasoning for this is the scales have to be marked "NTEP Approved" so we came in and bought all the older scales.

The AND HL-3000WPN stainless steel washdown digital scale weigh in two weigh modes [3000 g x 1 g] or [105.8oz x 0.1oz] and has a 5" x 5" stainless steel removable weighing pan.  Again these units are not Legal for Trade so we said it a few times and we don't need to hear some customer tell us - "I was deceived I thought it was Legal for Trade."  Most people using the scale for portioning and selling goods "by the piece" verses "by the weight" don't need a Legal for Trade scale to begin with anyway, but you should always call your inspectional services office to find out what your city, county or state requirements are since we can't offer legal advice.  If you find you need Legal for Trade we offer a huge selection here.
