You may connect the Mettler Toledo JB2002 jewelry balance to a computer via RS232 interface which is included.  RS232 cables and software are sold separately.  JB-2002 jewelry balances from Mettler Toledo weigh units only in grams (2100 g x 0.1 g) when in NTEP mode.

JB2002-G/A-F jewelry balances from Mettler Toledo are new and improved.  Instead of a round weighing pan, newer gem balances feature a larger square weighing pan.

Mettler Toledo's JB2002-G/A-F precision balance is legal for trade.  Sartorius GP5202 balances are not NTEP approved, and if you need a legal for trade balance, you would be better off purchasing the JB2002-G/A-F from Mettler Toledo.  Legal for trade balances are required when you are selling products based on weight.  Jewelers that sell gold by weight will certainly want a legal for trade precision balance.  If this does not apply to your weighing application, you can save a bundle of money buying a balance without the legal for trade certification.
