Don't be hoodwinked stay away from the AY6000 and always buy a current production model.
The Sartorius AY6000 has been discontinued and no longer in production as of January 2013. The Sartorius AY line was phased-out and replaced with the new Practum 6100-1S. The Practum balances are an entirely new cutting edge design offering superior weighing technology over the AY6000. We have no remaining stock on the AY6000 and all information displayed herein is for archival and support purposes only.
Unrivalled in its performance, Sartorius AY-6000 offers 6100 grams weighing capacity with readability to 1 gram and comes standard with the AC adapter (calibration weight is an optional accessory).
Sartorius M-Prove series are ideal balances
and scales for Educational, Industrial,
Laboratories, Research, Postal, Special
Applications and more. The Sartorius AY-6000 digital scale comes with a 6100
g capacity and 1 g readability. Whether weighing
multiple samples with totaled results,
formulating a color, counting, percent

protective cover for safe transportation
and stackability, integrated cal-weights,

Sartorius owned Acculab and shut down the brand in Dec of 2010. The AY6000 by Sartorius is the exact same balance as the the Acculab VIC6kg, except they changed the color of the plastic from gray to white, changed the overlay keypad and changed the display slightly and, of course, raised the price.
Superior Engineering for Better Performance and Durability
The ultra-fast microprocessor gives enhanced
weighing performance and exceptional stability. All M-Prove series sensors are robotically
manufactured for measurement uniformity and greater
durability, and each sensor is computer
optimized for maximum performance,
providing higher output and unmatched
repeatability. These M-Prove milligram balances have incomparable overload protection for
years of service in all weighing
applications.
The display on each scale is a white back-lit display for easy viewing in
all ambient weighing conditions.
Unique State of the Art Features

that saves valuable counter space.
They have an integrated weight chamber, which simplifies
calibration
and the reversible weighing pan allows greater
flexibility in weighing samples.
In all there are 13 models of scales (enhanced by two milligram
units). The rugged housing is made of ABS plastic with

As of 2013, Sartorius AY6000 has been discontinued by Sartorius and there is no direct replacement in the same price range under the Sartorius brand. All information displayed herein is for support purposes only.
The MyWeigh KD7000 is an affordable alternative to the AY6000. My Weigh scales offer a quality weighing instrument at an extremely low cost as a result of the huge production volumes. The value MyWeigh balances offers is one of the reasons Sartorius exited the low cost digital scale market focused on the educational and consumer marketplace.
Once you watch this video you understand MyWeigh Scales offers unbelievable value.
If you are looking for greater weighing capacity check out the EPB10K (10,000g x 0.1g). In the YouTube video above we give a general overview of the Electronic Precision Balance EPB10K weighing functions & features.
