The Ohaus CS2000 is a great digital scale, but we do get calls from people saying they want to buy an American made digital scale (yep, the Ohaus CS2000 is made in China) and we do have one available that is made in the USA - the Sartorius AY-4000. Sartorius is assembled at the Sartorius North America in Arvada, Colorado. Sartorius makes of some of the world's finest balances since 1871 when they introduced the world's first pharmaceutical balance.  The Sartorius AY4000 (4100g x 1g) offers many more features than the Ohaus CS2000.

If price is absolutely the #1 issue and you are in search of the lowest cost 1g digital scales then we have a couple of other digital scales that are made in China. The My Weigh's KD7000 scale offers 7000g x 1gram and is priced much less than the CS2000.
