The HL-3000WP-EX features [3000 g x 1 g] or [6 lb: 9.8 oz x 0.1oz] weighing
capacity which means the most you should ever have on the weighing platform
at anytime is 3000 grams / 6 pounds 9.8 ounces. The smallest increment
the scale can every display is 1 gram / (0.1 ounces). Therefore, when
weighing in the gram mode the LCD will increment 1g, 2g, 3g, .... 2999g, 3000g.
You will never see 0.5g or 0.1 g increments with the HL-3000WP-EX.
When weighing in the avoirdupois mode the HL-3000WP-EX weigh pound:ounces
only. It DOES NOT weigh in straight pounds nor just ounces.
For example, a person using the scale to weigh a 2-1/2 pound bag of sugar would
never see the LCD showing 2.5 lbs, but instead
2 lb : 8 oz. The same goes for a person formulating a recipe in
ounces. If the recipe calls for 50 4 ounces
the would displayed 3 lb : 2.4 oz. (16 ounces
= 1 pound).
