Adam Equipment’s Highland digital scales have what it takes for basic lab work, field use and various industrial applications. They feature multiple weighing units, RS-232 and USB interfaces, rechargeable battery pack and AC operation, capacity tracker, adjustable feet and level, lock down and more. Density and specific gravity determination are easy with the below balance weighing feature, and the removable draft shield eliminates wind disturbances outdoors or in drafty environments. ShockProtect™ overload protection keeps the performance of the Highland safe and secure, and the Three-point ShockProtect™ can with stand up to 200kg of weight without damaging the weighing mechanism.
Adam Equipment Highland HCB123 portable milligram scale is truly a unique digital scale rattling the scales industry and having other scale manufacturers running. Highland offers so many features, value at an affordable price. Adam's HCB123 offers 120g weighing capacity with readability to 1 milligram. What makes the Adam Highland so unique is the scale comes with both the RS-232 and USB interface as standard equipment. Competitor models like the Ohaus Scout, A&D EJ Series, Acculab Vicon and Sartorius AY scales gouge you by making you purchase their optional RS-232 or USB module for $92 or more. You have to pick either RS-232 or USB with the competition but with Highland you get BOTH RS-232 and USB interfaces. To make things better the HCB123 comes with both the RS-232 and USB cable. One thing the HCB doesn't come with is the data communication software but you can buy AdamDU data collection software or WinWedge balance communication software.
The HCB123 also has HandiCal™ - mechanical internal calibration with built in mass can be locked so only you calibrate the balance when you want to. The built in weight allows for quick and easy calibrations allowing you more time for weighing tasks. HandiCal™ internal calibration weight provides reliable readings time after time.

Adam Equipment HCB123 is a low cost milligram scale since it's weigh sensor is built using strain gauge technology. The strain gauge can give you good weighing results for weighing static loads, but can drift much more due to temperature variations caused by excitation energy used with a load cell strain gauge weigh sensor. Typically if you trickle say like table salt in small quantities to the weighing platform the auto tracking software thinks it is drift in the loadcell verses actually weight added to the weighing pan and the weighing results don't change. If you are a ammo reloader checkout this performance testing article at accurateshooter.com.
Adam Equipment HCB scales come with a Two (2) year
limited manufacturers warranty.

the Sartorius GD503 electromagnetic force restoration balance.
Gun and ammo reloaders really need to watch the video above that one of our customers put online. See the Sartorius GD503 in action and where professional shooters all over the world are learning to forget those low cost strain gauge scales that don’t work (see this video to see the difference). Watch the reloading of bullets using the Sartorius GD503, Omega Powder Trickler and the RCBS Chargemaster. A kernel of Hogdgon H4350 powder weighs between 0.025 – 0.030 grains and the Sartorius GD503 increments in 0.005gn. If you are tired of all the headaches using digital scales in the past it is time for you to buy a real balance that can weigh correctly. Give us a call at 978-521-7095 and we will configure the GD503 so the balance works out of the box in grains. If you are buying the HCB123 for reloading we really think you should buy the Sartorius GD503.

If you prefer a 3 door glass windshield be sure to see the EBP203 milligram scale as an alternative to the HCB123. The video above highlights the general features of the EBP203 milligram scale. The features of the EPB203 in this video are similar for the EPB103 and EP303 except the weighing capacity is 100 grams and 300 grams respectively. This is an affordable milligram scale ideal for the science classroom or hobbyist weighing small samples.
