We have NO remaining stock on the Acculab ALC-810.2. Acculab is a victim of deleveraging and the brand Acculab has terminated production on December 31, 2010. The information listed below on the ALC810.2 is for reference only for those people researching the specification on a ALC810 precision scale they already own.
Yes - Acculab DOES NOT EXIST in 2011 since Sartorius decided to shutdown the Acculab brand name. The Acculab ALC-810.2 replacement under the Sartorius brand is the Sartorius AZ1502 but these are not in stock since Sartorius is experiencing excessive lead times. For those customers that can not wait we offer many excellent alternative models which are in stock. If you can not work with this lead time we highly recommend that you purchase instead either the A&D FX-1200i, AdamLab HCB1002 or the MyWeigh iM01 which are in stock.
Acculab ALC-810.2 portable battery powered digital scale is the ultimate portable field scale. Now there is an affordable high quality research scale that college ecology teacher or archeologist can bring to the job site and get fast, stable and consistent weighing results without the inflated prices of those other brands. The 810g x 0.01g digital scale features a 4.5" diameter stainless steel weighing pan, high precision strain gauge loadcell, operates on 9 volt battery or AC Adapter, two (2) front adjustable leveling feet with sprint bubble indicator for easy setup.

If you are a jeweler or pawn shop and were told by a Weights & Measures Inspector that you need a Legal for Trade Class II Scale the Acculab ALC 810.2 is NOT Legal for Trade and we recommend you purchase either the Mettler Toledo JL602-G/LA00 or Mettler Toledo JL6001-G/LA00 digital scale. These Mettler electronic digital scales are made in Switzerland and we keep them in stock for immediate delivery.
Before purchasing the Acculab ALC-810.2 school scale with 0.01 gram resolution, take a look at the Sartorius GW6202 with internal calibration. Sartorius GW6202 with internal calibration, you can weigh over 5300 grams more than the Acculab ALC-810.2. Also, the Sartorius GW6202 has internal calibration which means there is no need to purchase expensive calibration weights. Acculab ALC-810.2 does NOT come with an external calibration weight, so an expensive 500 gram calibration weight would need to be purchased before proper calibration can be achieved. Also, the Sartorius GW6202 has a larger pan size than the Acculab ALC-810.2. Therefore, for just a little more money than the Acculab ALC-810.2, we feel the Sartorius GW6202 with internal calibration from Sartorius is the best value Precision Weighing Balances has to offer and we tend to have them in stock for immediate delivery.
Simple,
concise and gorgeous! Acculab designed the balance for simplicity
with a 5 button design and large LCD.
Eliminate
manual data entries and increase your efficiency by providing fast
error-free storage of your weighing data directly to a computer.
All Acculab ALC Balances come standard with RS-232 interface and
can be purchased with our optional USB
kit.
To
ensure consistent accuracy and tip-top performance the ALC balances
can be easily calibrated using the auto calibration function through
the keypad. Auto Calibration requires that you have the calibration
mass. These masses are optional accessories and we ALWAYS recommend that you purchase the calibration
mass so that you never need a scale company to service your
scale and charge you some outrageous price.
Acculab ALC Scales incorporate custom designed integrated circuits
resulting in really nothing a local scale company can do to service
a scale. Basically, all they can do is come out with a bottle
of Windex or Fantastik and clean the exterior body of the scale,
the interior glass draftshield, and calibrate the scale. If
there are ever any other problems with the balance other than calibration
then it really can only be serviced by the manufacturer, Acculab
in Arvada, CO, since the motherboard consist of VLSI(very large
scale integrated circuits) and we know of very few scale service
companies with a digital logic analyzer, or the proper tools to
remove and replace surface mount fine pitch components. Typically
the time to resolve a board problem is best solved by just replacing
the whole board and we feel the manufacturer is best to make this
decision. All Acculab ALC Balances are made in the USA and
backed with a 24 month manufacturer's warranty for parts and labor
under normal use. It looks like advances in weighing technology
and the advent of the internet as a distribution channel has made
the local scale company obsolete.
