The AZ124 is Sartorius entry level analytical balance that does not offer all the advance features the Sartorius ED124S, CPA124S or Sartorius Cubis Analytical Balance offers. The AZ124 has a smaller 3.9" weigh pan, RS-232 and calibration is achieved externally and requires you to purchasing an optional 100g class 1 calibration weight. You don't have the ability to weigh below for weigh magnetic materials or hot items, Sartorius does not sell a density kit for the AZ Series although we do offer an aftermarket density kit. Also the draftshield is permanently fixed on the AZ124 while the CPA124S the draftshield is removable for glove box weighing applications or weighing wafers that won't fit in the draftshield. The ED124S, CPA124S and Sartorius Cubis Analytical Balance all have internal calibration.
