This digital balance does far more than set new standards in metrological specifications. Beyond its technical specs of 2100 grams weighing capacity with readability to 0.01 grams, fully automatic, temperature and time controlled internal calibration and a huge 7 inch round weighing platform. Secura balances are designed for customers who work in regulated environments and need high-quality results without any risk. With Secura, you can now enjoy the security and serenity of knowing that you have done everything right. Based on best practices, Secura ensures the quality of your measurement results, compliance with regulatory requirements and your efficiency as well.
Sartorius Secura sets new benchmarks in every aspect for precision lab balances: features, technology, ergonomic style, and, above all, the entirely new, user-friendly operating design of the Secura that helps make work flows much more efficient. What it boils down to is the Secura is fail-safe: it rules out weighing errors due to incorrect operation and eliminates the time-consuming chore of fine-tuning the settings. Fractions of a second are all it takes for any user to adapt the Secura to specific requirements and obtain traceable results much faster than ever.
Sartorius' unique monolithic weight sensor produces steady readings using since it is cut from a single block of a special, highly rugged aluminum alloy using high-speed 21st century milling technology. The design in the area of the pan linkage is highly resistant to mechanical stress and therefore has exceptionally high mechanical stability. Also since the monolithic weigh cell is cut from a single block of aluminum there are no screw fasteners needed between functional parts. This keeps the system less sensitive to fluctuations in temperature, and with fewer parts there is less chance of failure. You achieve incredibly fast response time, unfailing reliability and near-zero susceptibility to interference. The reasons for these considerable advantages are two fold: the number of individual parts has been reduced by more than 70% and the mechanical construction has been designed to last for years of trouble-free operations.
Secura comes standard with convenient, built-in applications, a universal power adapter, in-use cover and application guide. These, along with the extensive accessories Sartorius offers, enable you to customize Secura to a variety of weight measurement tasks.

The Sartorius Secura2102-1S even has a port for a below balance weighing hook located on the bottom of the balance. Determine the specific gravity with the built-in density application and below weighing hook to effortlessly determine the density of solids.
Sartorius teamed up with experienced lab users to develop the user interface of the new Secura. Lab users' number 1 priority was to ensure easy, intuitive operation without having read the manual first. They did it. The self-explanatory icons and plain-text prompts on the large touch screen show you all the information you need to know for the procedure - no more, no less.
For example, the touch-activated print key will appear only when Secura has detected that a Sartorius printer is connected. The Secura also excels in compliance with workplace safety requirements: Even if you are wearing several pairs of lab gloves, you can still correctly use all the functions of the balance.
The Secura 2102-1S is targeted for pharmaceutical manufacturing and research or any weighing environment with strict regulatory procedures. If your weighing application doesn't involve working in a regulated environment then you might want to review either the Sartorius Quintix 2102-1S or Practum 2102-1S. Not sure what you need? Precision Weighing Balances is an Authorized Valued Distribution Partner for Sartorius Laboratory Products & Services. Be very leery who you purchase your balance from since incidents have occurred where people have purchased Sartorius balances online advertised as brand new but instead were refurbished, demo or broken units. When they sent in the balance to Sartorius they had absolutely no warranty. If someone tells you they are a reseller, sub-dealer or agent they are NOT an Authorized Sartorius Dealer and your warranty could be in jeopardy. Why take chances when buying the world's best scientific laboratory balance when you can purchase from Precision Weighing Balances an Authorized Dealer.
In the YouTube video above we cover the "Weighing" mode and the different configurations choices. Learn more about the "zero" & "tare" icon on the touchscreen display. We'll show you how simple it is to change the weight unit (g > oz > dwt > lb etc) and how you can drop the last significant digit to increase even faster stable weighing results. Although the laboratory balance we use for this demonstration is the Sartorius Secura225D-1S semi microbalance the weighing functionality is the same for all the Practum, Quintix and Secura models.
In the YouTube video above we cover the "Statistics" mode and the different configurations choices. Statistics is available on all models in the Quintix and Secura Series but NOT available on the Practum balances
In the YouTube video above we discuss calibration and the steps to perform internal calibration and also external calibration. During this demonstration we use the Quintix1102-1S and the procedure is similar for all the Sartorius Secura Series whether you have a precision, analytical, semi micro or microbalance Secura model. Calibrating the Sartorius Secura2102-1S precision balance is simple and easy and this lab balance displays the calibration deviation and the adjusted deviation calibration to meet numerous quality assurance requires. External calibration does require the purchase of the external calibration weight specific to each Secura model at an additional cost.
Reliable Weighing Easier Than Ever Before
Sartorius Secura is a laboratory balance that does far more than set new standards in metrological specifications. Beyond its technical specs, Secura also gives you the security and serenity of knowing that you have done everything right according to best practices to ensure the quality of your measurement results, compliance with regulatory requirements and your efficiency as well.
First, the new operating concept of Secura will noticeably ease your daily workload during weighing and, second, its APC function - Advanced Pharma Compliance - will relieve you from tedious and time-consuming documentation and monitoring tasks.
These two benefits, in combination with legendary Sartorius quality, make reliable weighing in regulated areas easier than ever before.
Fully automatic temperature- and time-controlled internal adjustment - isoCAL
Temporary blockage of data transfer to printer or computer when uncertain weighing results are detected, such as when the result is below the USP minimum sample weight limit, the balance is not levelled or isoCAL adjustment needs to be performed
Storage of all data of adjustment procedures - Cal Audit Trail
Always Correctly Leveled with
Sartorius Level Control
Secura has an optoelectronic sensor that continuously checks to see if the balance is perfectly level. If it detects any out of tolerances, you will be immediately alerted to this pending risk and see specific guidance prompts to help you level the balance. Output of the weighing data over the interface port will be temporarily interrupted until the balance has been correctly leveled again.
This means you can rest assured knowing that only correct data is transmitted. During leveling, you will not have to change your seated position. More importantly, when working with toxic substances under a laboratory fume hood, you will not have to lean over the balance while leveling it. As a result, Secura rules out the risk of health hazards.

This gives you peace of mind knowing that inadequate data cannot be inadvertently processed further.
Sartorius specially trained service staff can determine the minimum sample weight for you right at the balance's site of installation, program it into your Secura and attach a corresponding verification seal to the balance at an additional cost.
Best Results - Quality Documentation Made Easy
Secura features a Cal Audit Trail function to document the quality of each weigh-in procedure you perform. Each adjustment procedure, including any non-conformities, are recorded by the balance, can be viewed on the touch screen and, if necessary, can be transferred over the balance's interface to a computer or to a Sartorius laboratory printer.
Security by Password Protection
Secura comes with password protection to restrict adjustment of the balance settings only to authorized persons. If you set a password, all functions that could change the metrological performance specifications are inactivated.
Interactive User Guidance for
Fast GLP/GMP Compliant Printouts Interactive
If you require traceable documents,
Secura will guide you through the steps for obtaining GLP/GMP-compliant printouts. The novel user guidance will support you especially for working with traceable sample identification.
Used in conjunction with the Sartorius YDP30 laboratory printer, which is automatically detected by Secura, the balance generates printouts of the results on standard printer paper or on continuous labels.
