Sartorius LE2202S-DS precision balance was replaced with the CPA2202S-DS balance.  Production was halted in May 2008 to make way for the new CPA Series which features minor improvements since the LE Series.  One of the biggest noticeable differences is the new keypad overlay.

Large Ø 5.1 inch stainless steel weighing pan, bi-directional RS-232 with high-contrast LCD with backlit perfect for areas with poor lighting.  Large control keys include tare keys for left or right handed operation and a positive click.  The Sartorius CPA2202S-DS offers 2200 grams weighing capacity with the display incrementing in 0.01 gram intervals.  Sartorius balances offer advanced weighing technology, cutting edge design, innovative features and a world wide reputation that can't be beat for quality.  This new precision balance from Sartorius offers similar specifications as the CPA2202S model, except the weighing pan is slightly smaller, and a draft shield is included for better weighing results.

CPA2202S-DS balances have isoCal motorized internal calibration.  isoCal allows the balance to be preset to perform calibration automatically or prompts user to calibrate, plus it monitors adjustments through GLP-compliant printouts.  The CPA2202S-DS comes standard with motorized internal calibration.  The core of our clients purchase the CPA Series especially in the pharmacopeia sector.  Some clients on a limited budget select the GP5202 (5200g x 0.01g), but unlike the CPA Toploading Balances the GP5202 does not feature the internal calibration.

Before purchasing the Sartorius CPA2202S-DS with 0.01 gram resolution, consider a Sartorius GP5202 precision balance.  If you choose a Sartorius GP5202 precision balance, you can have more than double the capacity without sacrificing the resolution and save hundreds of dollars at the same time.  We feel the GP5202 precision toploader from Sartorius is CLEARLY the best value Precision Weighing Balances has to offer and we have them in stock for immediate delivery.

Sartorius CPA2202S-DS precision balances feature internal calibration, which is NOT offered by the GP5202.  Internal calibration is a nice feature, but it drives up prices considerably.  Save bundles of money when you purchase a precision balance with external calibration, like the GP5202.  Read more about the benefits of external calibration verses internal calibration here!

GP5202 toploading balance offers a maximum weighing capacity of 5200 grams and readability to 0.01 gram intervals.  This precision balance features a backlit LCD display, 7.4" x 8.0" weighing platform, RS232 interface, parts counting mode, and external calibration.  Sartorius GP5202 balances are in stock and ready for immediate delivery.
