LE1003S lab balances were discontinued and replaced with the CPA1003S from Sartorius.  New CPA balances feature a new keypad overlay and isoCal comes standard in all models.  As of May 2008 production of the LE Series was halted to make way for the latest Series from Sartorius.

The Sartorius CPA Series of laboratory balances all feature isoCAL motorized internal calibration.  isoCal allows the balance to be preset to perform calibration automatically or prompts user to calibrate.  The core of our clients prefer the CPA Series especially in the pharmacopeia sector.

Before you decide to purchase a Sartorius CPA1003S Mg balance, we suggest you review the Sartorius ED623S. Sartorius ED623S milligram balances weigh up to 620 grams in 0.001 gram increments, while LE1003S milligram balance weighs up to 1010 grams.  If you do not need such a high capacity, save barrels of money when you choose the ED623S.  CPA1003S balances offer internal calibration, which drives the price of balances up significantly.  External calibration is less expensive and is truly the only way to properly calibrate a balance.  You can read more about the benefits of external calibration over internal calibration here.
