Sartorius ED623S milligram balances weigh 620 grams in 0.001 gram increments, while Mettler Toledo's PL83-S only weighs up to 81 grams.  If you would like a higher weighing capacity and an RS232 interface choose the Sartorius ED623S.

Sartorius ED623S balances are a little more expensive, but the larger capacity is worth the additional money in our opinion.  In addition to the difference in capacity, ED623S Mg balances also have a slightly larger weighing pan and include an RS232 interface.  If you wanted RS232 with the Mettler Toledo PL83-S balance, you would need to spend $66 to have the interface included.  Sartorius is one of the leading manufacturers of laboratory balances, and the ED623S is clearly the better value.
