Need a practical, easy-to-use analytical balance for your chemistry classroom? AND Weighing Galaxy HR-150A analytical laboratory balance offers a compact design and all necessary features for most scientific weighing application requiring 0.1 milligram graduations. Affordable and easy to use with a weighing capacity up to 152 grams you'll be able to perform the weighing requirements for most laboratory weighing applications.
A&D Weighing has imposed MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) on the HR150a and the absolute lowest an Authorized Dealer can post for a price is $1478. Although MAP policy prevents us from advertising below $1478 if you simply click the buy icon your purchase price will be much lower when you add the balance to our shopping cart and shipping is free in the lower 48 states of the USA. Remember, the $1478 is an advertised price, NOT your final price.
Calibration is achieved by external calibration and requires you to purchase either a 100 gram or 50 gram calibration weight. If you prefer motorized internal calibration please review the HR-150AZ.
Selling points of the AND HR-150A scientific balance are truly unique when comparison shopping for your next lab balance. This analytical balance is designed with a removable, shatterproof breeze break with antistatic coating. Other manufacturers of lab balances design their analytical weighing instrument with large bulky glass draftshield that is hard to clean. Many are not removable and if you ever do break the glass do you know the replacement cost for the glass can exceed over $500.
The shatterproof breeze break is the perfect design for challenging weighing applications where contamination is a potential concern. Some pharmaceutical or food research labs that must to comply with either FDA or HACCP regulations that specify no glass. The draft shield is removable you can weigh large diameter items that would not fit in the breeze break. Weighing in glove box can sometimes be easier with the breeze break removed. The A&D design is affordable, reliable and adaptive to your weighing application.
A small footprint design saves you space. The HR-150A footprint measures only 8 x 12 inch. The rotary doors mean that the balance takes up no extra space when the doors are open. We can't understand why some other brand analytical balances are designed to be so big and bulky but I guess maybe they think a bigger piece of equipment can justify an overpriced price of lab equipment. The HR-A is a smart weighing design ideal for tight confines of glove boxes or fume hoods. Free up lab benches space since you'll have no problem setting up 2 HR150A balances back-to-back. Plus the top of the breeze break also pivots open, so access to beakers and flasks is easy.
The HR150A balance features a solid metal base on the A&D Super
Hybrid Sensor (SHS) technology which delivers consistent weighing results. day-in and day-out in thousands of laboratories and production facilities worldwide. This high precision weighing instrument even has a port for a below balance weighing hook located on the bottom of the balance. You can learn more about below weighing applications here.
While other manufacturers have only a 1 year or 2 year manufacturer warranty the HR-150A is backed with a 5 year manufacturer warranty. If the other brand balance is so good why is their warranty only 1 year?

Before you make your final selection be sure to see the new Sartorius ENTRIS224-1S or ENTRIS124-1S. The HR-150A uses a Super Hybrid Sensor which combines magnetic force restoration and single-point parallelogram load sensing technologies. The Sartorius uses a monolithic magnetic force restoration for even more accurate & stable weighing results. The Sartorius Entris is made in Germany while the HR150A is made in South Korea.
The HR-A Series of compact analytical balances are fast, accurate and reliable. They feature solid construction based on the A&D Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS) technology which has delivered consistent weighing results day-in
and day-out in thousands of laboratories and production facilities worldwide. The HR-A meets today's demanding needs in Laboratory, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production environments and deliver performance with convenience in a compact footprint.
A&D Weighing HR-A/HR-AZ series analytical balances come in several weighing capacities to accommodate your specific laboratory weighing needs. Choose between 102 grams to 252 gram weighing capacity. The HR-A series offers external calibration and requires the purchase of an optional calibration mass while the HR-AZ features motorized internal calibration. Both series offer a tenth of a milligram resolutions with a large breeze break for precise weighing. Get accurate weighing results with the latest analytical balance from A&D Weighing.
The A&D HR-A/HR-AZ has a programmable unit conversion function. It multiplies the weight data in grams by an arbitrary coefficient set in the function table and displays the result.
The coefficient must be within the range between the minimum (0.000001) and maximum (10000). If the
coefficient set is beyond the range, an error is displayed and the balance returns to the coefficient
setting mode, prompting to enter an appropriate value. A coefficient of 1 was set at the factory.
The shatterproof anti static breeze break is removable for easy cleaning.
The rugged, shatterproof draftshield with anti-static coating makes the HR-A/AZ safe for challenging applications where contamination is a potential concern especially with pharmaceutical weighing application with FDA requirements or food weighing where HACCP requirements restrict a breeze break made of glass.
Rotary doors mean that the balance takes up no extra space when the doors are open. The HR-A Series analytical lab balances are perfectly at home in the tight confines of glove boxes and fume hoods. Crowded academic lab benches are no problem: set-up 2 balances back-to-back.
Breeze break top pivots
left or right to allow easy access to flasks and beakers.
In the video above we demonstrate the Sartorius Entris224-1S analytical balance and how easy calibration is when you purchase the optional calibration mass. The Satorius Entris 4 decimal place balances offer a large draftshield with 3 sliding doors. See the quick settling time as we place calibration weights on the weighing platform. Get a better understanding of what each keypad does and how you can enter into the balance configuration menu to change the factory default setting to better meet your specific weighing requirements. The Sartorius Entris is easy to configure to optimize for your individual weighing application.

Learn more about the AND FX-700CT as we demonstrate the balance and show you all the features this precision milligram weighing instrument offers. Basically the FX-700CT (152g x 0.001g) is the same balance as the HR-150a (152g x 0.0001g) but the FX-700CT displays 1/10 the resolution. If you want to learn more about the HR-a Series this video is well worth watching.
Need more accuracy? Do you need a 5 decimal place gram balance? The Sartorius Secura and Quintix semi microbalances are amazing. In the YouTube video above you will see the Sartorius Secura225D-1S semi microbalance [0-120g x 0.01mg] [120-220g x 0.1mg]. We highlight the intuitive operation using the SmartTouch user interface that is so easy to use you'll probably never need to reference the user manual. We also demonstrate the ergonomic draftshield and show how easy it is to dismantle the balance for easy cleaning.
Also you'll get a close up view of the new "collection container".
The collection container is designed to keep the spill from entering the lab balance that could cause potential damage to the balance. Sartorius' revolutionary "collection container" features a rimmed design to keep the spill from entering if you happen to spill any liquid or granular samples while weighing.
