My Weigh iBalance i601 (600g x 0.01g) is the perfect alternative for the science
classroom teacher seeking an affordable weighing solution. The iBalance
601 comes complete with a built in rechargeable lead acid battery, RS-232, bright
LED dual panel display, locking load cell, wind cover, stainless steel tray,
level bubble and AC Adapter. The two extra-large LED displays makes for
easy reading from any angle or especially presentations. Yes, this scale
offers dual display - one display in the front and a rear display perfect for
the science classroom and the teacher demonstrations.
The scales come standard with a plastic draft shield for precision weighing.
The top of the draft shield can be lifted off for easy access to the weighing
platform. This draft shield provides peak performance by limiting air
current movements. Multiple weigh modes (grams, carats or troy ounces)
for a wide array of uses.
The large and very stable ABS plastic case is a modern attractive design incorporating
tactile feedback keypads that are clearly marked. Four adjustable feet
accommodate for optimum footprint stability on practically any surface and the
sprint bubble indicator makes leveling the balance a breeze.
Why pay more for those competitor brands like Ohaus or A&D when MyWeigh
offers more for LE$$? Educators should show their prudent fiscal responsibility
in spending the public's money on science classroom school balances and buy
the MyWeigh i601. We do accept school
purchase orders over $500. Orders under $500 you can send a check
in advance along with this
mail in form or you can pay using a credit card or PayPal. Ships via
UPS Ground in the contiguous 48 states from our facility in Bradford, MA.
No international orders, or to APO's, AK, HI or PR please.
MyWeigh iBalances 601 and M01 also feature a shipping protection screw
to eliminate the chance of the load cell being damaged during transportation
or storage. This locking
loadcell is similar to the Adamlab
ACB Series design.
Parts counting feature is also available enabling you to
count items as small as a grain of rice, and give you the
total amount of items placed on the scale. You can choose from multiple
sample sizes (10, 20, 50 or 100 pcs) for parts counting.
Displays in Grams, Troy Ounces, Carats, and Parts Counting.
Please note WE DO NOT ACCEPT
PHONE ORDERS FOR THE LOW COST SCALES. They must be
purchased with PayPal or you need to send a US
postal money order in advance. PayPal works as the
processing company to collects the funds and verify the credit card
information. PayPal accepts all major credit cards and you
do not need to set up an account to use PayPal.
Precision Scales from My Weigh are powered by AC adapter or rechargeable
internal lead acid battery. Illustrated above is the bottom of a
My Weigh electronic lab scale. The sealed lead acid battery on these
precision weighing digital scales is easily accessible if it were to be
replaced.
The image at the top of the page shows
the IM01 model with the windscreen. Here is the i601 precision balance
shown without the wind cover. NOTE: both models come
with the wind screen.
There is an
RS-232 interface but the documentation is weak in the 9 page manual and
we really only recommend people very familiar with RS-232 and ASCII to attempt
to use the interface. One thing we did not like about the RS-232 is
you only have two options for sending data. Either streaming the data
continuously or send data after a stable reading. There is no "print
key" to send data like there is on the Sartorius
GE Series or A&D
EK-Series.
We were able to connect the iM01 to HyperTerminal
and even modify our USB
kit to work with the iM01, but we will not offer free technical support
for people attempting connecting the scale to a PC. Here is the only
information/support we'll provide. You need a Null Modem Serial cable
DB9F/F and the port settings in HyperTerminal should be set to Baud: 1200
(scale is set to 9600 out of the box so you need to change to 1200), Data
bits: 8, Parity bit: None, Stop bits: 1, and Flow control: None.
